Arnica montana

Dried Flower

.2 oz Sealed Compostable Kraft Pouch

From the high mountains of Siberia and Europe, Arnica has been used extensively to treat a range of conditions from bruising and swelling to shock and hair loss.

Since its discovery, centuries ago by goat herders who noted their goats were climbing up into the mountains in search of flowers to heal after falling or stumbling.

It is even named “Fallkraut” in German – meaning “fall herb” or "tumblers cure all"!

A variety of Arnica grows in North America where it is called “Mountain Tobacco” as its leaves resemble to tobacco and is used as a medicinal plant by the Native Americans for many conditions including bruising, swelling and inflammation.

Arnica Flower Oil may also be effective for skin conditions including; eczema, psorisis and rosacea as it is rich in antioxidants that help to reduce the signs of aging by lowering oxidation to the skin.

Found in many shampoos and other hair preparations, Arnica promotes hair growth by nourishing the scalp and is found in many shampoos and hair formulations. Its vasodilating properties can stimulate the hair follicles which in turn support the growth of healthier hair.

As with many herbs of folk medicine, Arnica was used in pagan times to garner favor with spiritual realm. The flowers were thought to be especially potent during summer solstice, when bouquets were gathered and placed on the corners of fields to ensure a good harvest.

Arnica Flower Oil can be used to tend sore muscles and can be massaged into the scalp to promote hair growth. Apply to the affected area up to four times per day.
