Our Vision

As stewards of our own land in SESD, we recognizes and value the importance of building a diverse and sustainable ecological oasis. This includes making use of our resources with least harmful impact on our natural habitat. We tend our gardens by hand, weeding without sprays or chemicals. This can mean more labor and time, but it is so worthwhile and fulfilling!

In our quest to offer clean, natural, from the ground home and family care options, we have discovered our deep commitment to holistic living. We are working diligently to return abundance in variety to sustain our family as well as our plant and animal relatives at Sweetgrass Farm.

We are not aiming to be the biggest or brightest of anything. We care only to live honestly, healthfully an in reciprocity with nature and it's gifts. This mindfulness was practiced by our Native Ancestors, and we work every day to learn and live in honor of them.

While supporting our ecosystem, we have built a small business that provides and cares for the gifts of Mother Earth as well as our community! Sweetgrass Soapery LLC. has been our introduction to the region as Native Herbalists and  believers in all things green and good. Throughout the last decade we have created and produced so many amazing products inspired by our time working with our own wild medicinals and reintroducing long forgotten native habitats.

We return every penny of Sweetgrass Soapery's success back to the land, by planting native gardens, restoring our prairie forest and providing sanctuary for all creatures, big and small. Sweetgrass Farm is more than a homestead. It's a special place that is growing year by year and we love to share this journey on our social media pages.
